It is because of farmers, that we have food on our tables. A hard-working farmer from Assam barely earns Rs.6,000 a month and supports his wife and three sons, who are students currently. Difficult, isn’t it? Now add cancer to this.

It all started with constipation but when signs of bleeding were seen in the stool, in Feb 2018, it raised an alarm. Soon a lump developed in the anus and investigations revealed rectum cancer. The family sold their land, gathered all their life savings and went pillar to post in gathering some loans for traveling to Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai for the treatment.

Rs.85,000 has been spent so far for chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The treatment is midway and needs further financial help of Rs.1,00,000 which the family is unable to arrange, understandably. Don’t let money be a cause of Mukti’s defeat against cancer. He wants to fight.

Let’s all get together to revive Mukti’s health.
