Target ₹ 200,000/-
Raised ₹ 132,415 /-
Mr. Jitmohan Adhikari, a farmer by occupation was taken to the local doctor for stomach pain in 2012 and was put under medication for 2 months. However, the pain still didn’t seem to subside even after medications and so was suggested endoscopy and an array of blood reports which diagnosed that he suffered from DLBCL (Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma) at Kolkata hospital, was referred to Tata Memorial Hospital for further treatment. By then he had already spent 10,000/- at Kolkata. At TMH, in October 2012 he took 6 cycles of chemo which cost him 6,00,000/- for which he had to sell off his ancestral land as well, post which he took 25 radiations at Kolkata costing 60,000/-. Due to extreme weakness post-treatment, Jitmohan wasn’t able to resume back to farming as a laborer so his wife and kids supported the family meanwhile by working as daily wagers. He was on regular annual follow-ups, until Sept 2019 when he experienced severe pain and had to undergo ultrasonography at Kolkata and was referred again to TMH for further investigations.
December 2019 was difficult for him as at TMH after PET CT and Biopsy, relapse of the disease was confirmed. He is now planned for 6 cycles of chemotherapy and the total cost prescribed for him is 2,00,000/-
Jitmohan has already exhausted his funds for the treatment and now is in need of money to support his further treatment. Let’s all pledge together and help him to complete his treatment and make his new year a happy 2020 new year.
