Neha Shaik, a mother to a six-year-old daughter, was taken to the local doctor after what seemed like merely a breast injury. Upon arrival, the local doctor admitted her in the hospital for fifteen days to cosmetically fix what seemed like an injury on her breast. Taken to another doctor after the symptoms of what seemed like a breast injury resurfaced, a blood test revealed low haemoglobin and a low platelet count. Neha was advised to go to the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai for further management.
At the Tata Memorial Hospital, Neha was immediately revaluated and immediately diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Having already spent Rs. 2,50,000 for the intensive phase of her treatment, Neha had exhausted all of her funds after spending the money she gathered selling her gold, breaking her personal savings and borrowing money from her family friends and relatives. Neha is in need of an additional Rs. 7,50,000 in order to complete her treatment. Upon completion, Neha wishes to return to her home and look after her daughter.
